Snack: Apple Slices, Cinnamon, Cranberries and Granola
Such a great snack to have while studying or simply catching up on your favourite show but not wanting to pig out on chips or chocolate. I didn't have a recipe beforehand so this was a complete improvisation. I took off the apple's skin, cut it into thin slices and toped the pieces with cinnamon, stevia, dried cranberries, and granola. Even though I call this new snack "Baked Apples," I decided to put it in the microwave for convenience (I will try it in the oven next time!). I left it in for about 2 minutes so that the apples would soften. Tasted like a healthy version of apple crisp. Perfect fall treat to try out, seeing as many people have been apple picking the past couple of weekends!
Have a good one,
I was looking for a way to have more cinnamon in my diet and this looks delicious and would make the house smell soooo good when the apples are baking
ReplyDeleteWarning, it is totally addictive. I used almost all my apples to make this every day.
DeleteCinnamon is awesome. I try to have at least 2 tsp a day. On a coffee, on yogurt, on coconut milk on THIS, on anything. :)
Enjoy!
